Since the French made the first paint hose with tin in 1840, tin-coated lead pipes appeared during the First World War, and aluminum pipes appeared in 1948, but metal pipes have the disadvantages of heavy weight and corrosion resistance , The plastic hoses that have appeared recently can overcome the above two shortcomings and have made great progress. In 1950, Switzerland invented the plastic hose made of LDPE. A single plastic hose has limited barrier properties and low strength. In the 1960s, composite hoses appeared in the world, which combined the characteristics of metal and plastic, and can be widely used in the packaging of cosmetics, cleaning agents, toothpaste, silicone oil, grease, etc.
The composite hose is composed of plastic, paper and aluminum foil. The plastics used for the hose are LDPE and PP, which are used for outer printing, lamination and inner heat sealing. In PE and PP, add O. 5% ethylene glycol amines can be made into dust-proof films, and coating-grade LDPE and EVA can be used as adhesives for extrusion coating compounding between paper and aluminum. If it is an all-plastic hose, in order to have good barrier properties, there should be PVDC, EVAL, nylon or PET materials with high barrier properties in the plastic intermediate layer. In order to prevent penetration, the paper in the composite soft tank tube needs to be impregnated or coated with phenolic resin or melamine formaldehyde resin. Since melamine formaldehyde easily penetrates oil, urea-formaldehyde resin can be used when packing oily paste. In the tube, there is a certain strength and rigidity. Aluminum foil has good barrier properties, excellent light protection and good gloss.
American Can Company (ACC) produces CS1O04 9-layer composite hose, which consists of 9 layers of PE, paper, aluminum foil and strong adhesive EAA. It is suitable for packaging toothpaste, shoe polish and other oily pastes and slurries.
